Classification of Teflon Belts: Mesh Conveyor Belts and High-Temperature Fabrics

Teflon conveyor belts (also known as PTFE conveyor belts or high-temperature resistant belts) are primarily classified into two types: Teflon Mesh Conveyor Belts and Teflon High-Temperature Fabrics. Both utilize fiberglass cloth as the base material, coated with PTFE resin.

Mesh Belts: Specifications are defined by mesh size, typically 1×1mm, 2×2.5mm, 4×4mm, and 10×10mm. They are available in single-weft or double-weft weaves depending on the warp and weft configurations.

High-Temperature Fabrics: Specifications are categorized by thickness, with the thinnest reaching 0.08mm.

Core Characteristics and Applications
Constructed from high-strength fiberglass coated with PTFE, these belts feature exceptional high-temperature resistance (-70°C to 260°C), anti-stick properties, corrosion resistance, and low friction. They are widely used in food baking, electronics SMT, UV curing, and chemical electroplating. We offer customizable mesh sizes (1×1mm to 10×10mm) and seamless splicing, providing long service life and energy efficiency.

Polyester Series (Specialized Industrial Meshes)
These meshes are characterized by high strength, minimal deformation, and excellent tracking. Used in paper, sugar, pharmaceutical, ceramic, and coal washing industries, they include:

Categories: Forming fabrics, dryer fabrics, spiral meshes, filter press meshes, and sludge dewatering meshes.

Weave Patterns: Available in 4-shed, 5-shed, 7-shed, 8-shed, 16-shed, and 24-shed series.

Structures: Single-layer, double-layer, 2.5-layer, and triple-layer designs.

Advantages: Superior resistance to acids, alkalis, and wear. These meshes offer several times the lifespan of standard canvas, featuring high tensile strength, excellent air permeability, and high heat transfer efficiency.

Manufacturing Process of Anti-Static Heat-Resistant Belts
Pre-treatment: Fiberglass base cloth is washed in methanol and water, dried, and soaked in a rare-earth solution for 12 hours. It is then dried in a blast oven.

Impregnation: The pre-treated cloth is immersed in a PTFE composite dispersion for 30–50 minutes.

Coating & Sintering: The cloth undergoes gradient baking in a blast oven and is cooled. This process is repeated to achieve the desired thickness. Finally, it is sintered in a continuous furnace at 360–370°C for 20 minutes.

Application Scope
Food: Gaskets for heating food, baking sheets, and microwave liners.

Industrial Liners: Anti-stick liners, gaskets, and masking fabrics.

Conveying: Teflon Conveyor Belts for drying machinery, adhesive tapes, and sealing belts (based on thickness).

Specialized: Corrosion-resistant cladding for petrochemical pipelines, electrical insulation, and environmental desulfurization in power plants.

Key Performance Metrics
Dimensional Stability: High strength with an elongation factor of <5‰.

Thermal Range: Continuous operating temperature from -70°C to 260°C.

Surface Properties: Low friction coefficient, excellent insulation, and superior anti-stick properties (easy to clean oil stains and residues).

Chemical Resistance: Resistant to almost all chemicals, strong acids, and alkalis; non-combustible and anti-aging.

Industry Utilization
Teflon high-temperature fabrics are ubiquitous in aerospace, papermaking, food, environmental protection, printing, apparel, chemicals, electronics, and construction (membrane structures). Specific uses include flexible compensators, high-frequency copper-clad laminates, and friction materials.

Fusing Machine Applications
Seamless Belts: Woven from high-strength fiberglass or Kevlar (Aramid) into a cylindrical shape to eliminate breakage and jumping at joints.

Double-Layer Composite Belts: Features an anti-static varnished cloth inner layer and a tear-resistant fiber outer layer, offering high strength, uniform thickness, and anti-tracking performance.

Seamed Belts: Produced from self-woven and self-coated substrates with a high-gloss finish.
