The substrate of PTFE high-temperature fabric is typically fiberglass cloth — fiberglass itself is an excellent inorganic insulating material. The polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coating applied to the surface is a high-performance polymer insulating material with volume resistivity exceeding 10¹⁸ Ω·cm and high dielectric breakdown voltage (typically greater than 20 kV), effectively blocking electrical current conduction.
Insulation Stability Across a Wide Temperature Range
Standard insulating materials tend to age at elevated temperatures, with insulation performance declining significantly. PTFE high-temperature fabric can be used continuously from -70°C to 260°C — insulation performance shows virtually no degradation throughout this temperature range. It even maintains effective insulation in short-term high-temperature environments up to 300°C.
Durable Insulation Through Chemical Corrosion Resistance
The PTFE coating resists strong acids, strong alkalis, organic solvents, and other corrosive media — chemical attack cannot compromise the insulating structure. This makes it suitable as an insulation isolation material in corrosive environments such as chemical processing and electroplating.
